Acronym Appropo

PC. And I don't mean Personal Computer. TPT. I feel it's okay for me to freely flaunt the acronym in everyday dailogue, well, because I's AM (or was) trailer folk. Trailer Park Trash for those of you NOT in the know. JC. My reference to the Lady upstairs, Big Daddy, Holla to the Halo; none other than Jesus Christ. Don't hate! So back to all this Politically Correctness that governs everything we process prior to speaking, daring not to offend. If you've tuned into any of renowned Canadian comedian Russell Peters' stand-up acts, you'd know that he is notorious for poking fun at how incredibly cheap he feels his fellow East Indian peeps are. But lets get real...of most of my Asian, West-Indie, Jewish friends or even yard-salin', hand-me down-lovin' small town white clan (a.k.a. mungie cake, and I feel I am entitled to refer to my pale as milk kin folk this way), most will stake their claim as being the thriftiest, deal searching mo-fo's around. It's all in fun, light and genuinely laughable. Or should be. There's a time and a place as someone wise once said. Sometimes there is no appropriate reason. At a holiday party late last year I was celebrating an evening with friends who happened to be Jewish when a joke was made, albeit by a very drunk but well aware goy who tried to make fun from the suffering and death of holocaust victims. This was the 2nd time in months that I had ever encountered similar jokes and at both times I was surprised, baffled and disappointed. Now back to me and my PC dilemma. I probably won't act on it but lately I have had an overwhelming, perhaps less dramatic than I make it out to really be, desire to purchase a fur coat. Yes, you read me correctly. I don't want a mink or a chinchilla or even dalmation. I ain't Cruella here. Pammy Anderson of course would have a field day thrashing paint the colour of rage from her ample bosom upon my animal loving self, and seriously, I won't buy one. I just kinda started to really like them this season. Maybe cause I can't stand the winters anymore...surely the garb is warm. Maybe cause I'm in touch with my glamorous old lady side more than I think, who knows. The question is; what would JC think about me? And is it a little TPT to be wearing fur after 1985?
